Double Action Logo

The first Art I made was the logo for our game. We talked about it being similar to the James Bond Logo. I implemented this thought process through the italicization of the text and making the E look more like a gun like the 7 in 007 logo. The color scheme was chosen because it matched the colors we had chosen for our pitch deck. I also wanted the logo to be a little more blocky since we wanted the game to be toy like.

 I had the same problem as I did in my other project. This part is specifically for the end screen of the game, I had text that needed to update. I got it to parts of it to update, something changed and I could no longer get it to update. I tried multiple things to get it back to updating but none of them worked. The code was similar to how the HUD so theoretically it should have worked.  


The icons made for the gun pick ups were based off the sketches I got from Jaedon, and the fist was a reference that I got from looking up fist. The icons are used in both the HUD and floating in the 3D space. The colors of these Icons came from a color sheet that we had for this project, that way color coding stayed consistent so the player would know what to do.


These are the action icon. Their purpose is to let the player know what they are meant to do. The blue one is a fist with cracks on it. I wanted it to look like an impact that happens when you punch something like glass. The green is for the pistol/revolver. It is meant to look a cross hair since the pistol in our game is more focused on shooting. The red one is for shotgun actions. I kept a cross hair in the middle since it is still a gun but the outer part is meant to give a "power feeling"


These are the concept arts for the enemies in this game. Aaron Modeled these guys and they turned out so good. Jaedon came up with the ideas for the enemies and I drew them to hand off to Aaron. My personal favorite is the blue enemy. The information I was given was melee and punch able "like a middle schooler".

I wish my life was calmer so I could have spent more time on this project because it is a really fun concept. The main worry I had for this project was the scope. I feel like there was a lot of ideas that got added as we continued with development. The Kanban board that we were using had a lot of items on it, but the final product is still very good missing some of the ideas.

I learned some new coding things through this project. It's always fun to look at how other people code and since i wasn't the programmer for this project it was a different experience trying to adapt to the code that someone else had written. It took a little while to find where everything went, and somethings still aren't that clear to me, but if it works it works!
